About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Professional to join our team at the National Autistic Society. As a Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting autistic individuals to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centred support to autistic individuals, promoting independence and self-advocacy.
  • Develop and implement individualised support plans, working closely with the individual, their family, and other professionals.
  • Support individuals to access community resources, develop life skills, and participate in activities that promote social inclusion.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to support.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote the rights and well-being of autistic individuals.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with autistic individuals, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with individuals, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the individuals we support.
  • Knowledge of autism and its impact on individuals and families, with a commitment to promoting autism acceptance and inclusion.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the changing needs of the service.
