At Medlock Partners, we are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Solicitor with expertise in Mergers and Acquisitions to join our thriving Corporate team in Manchester.

The Corporate Department is a leading advisor to owner-managed businesses across various sectors, including technology, healthcare, financial services, and sports. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with clients throughout their growth journeys, providing trusted advice at every stage. Your responsibilities will include working on a wide range of transactions, including M&A, private equity investments, employee ownership trusts, business reorganisations, shareholder agreements, and supporting founders through business exits.

As a full-time role, this position comes with standard office hours and hybrid working available. You may be required to work on occasion to meet urgent deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on a variety of corporate transactions, including M&A, private equity deals, and employee ownership trusts.
  • Assist with day-to-day business operations, such as shareholder agreements and group reorganisations.
  • Provide support to businesses seeking external investment and founders preparing for their exit strategies.
  • Collaborate with other departments within the firm and external advisers, such as corporate finance teams and accountants.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of post-qualification experience, ideally 2-3 years, with demonstrable experience in transactional corporate law and M&A. You will be a strong organisational and prioritisation skilled individual with excellent client care, a collaborative team player eager to develop business development skills, and interested in networking and promoting the firm to clients and contacts.
