Job Description:
  • Assess family functioning and provide support to prevent relationship breakdown and ensure the health and wellbeing of children at risk of abuse or neglect.
  • Collaborate with professionals to help children, young people, and families improve their lives and participate in their community.
  • Carry out assessments and plan responses to safeguard children from abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
  • Arrange alternative care for children when their parents or carers cannot care for them.
  • Promote autonomy and development for individuals with complex social needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of activity and participate in planning and decision-making forums.
  • Work with communities, families, and individuals to maximise their personal strengths and resources.
  • Provide case management, guidance, and expert advice to social care staff and newly qualified social workers.
  • Contribute to organisational capability by taking ownership of training and development.

Requirements:

  • A Social Work Qualification or equivalent.
  • Continual professional development.
  • Social Work England registered.

Estimated Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum
