About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an Eyecare Specialist to join our team in Boldon. As an Optometrist, you will play a key part in creating an environment that combines clinical and operational excellence. You'll work alongside the Optical Manager and department team to develop new patient services and support coaching and training.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will be responsible for screening patients, providing coaching and training to the wider team, and helping maintain standards on the department.
  • You will work closely with the Optical Manager to develop new patient services and improve customer experience.
  • You will also contribute to maintaining a positive and supportive working environment within the department.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • To be a fully qualified Optometrist registered with the GOC.
  • To be a registered performer with your NHS area team or health board.
  • To have MECs or WECs accreditation (or be willing to gain accreditation within 12 months).
  • To be on track to meet the statutory points requirement for CPD.
  • To be able to use your skills and passion for the role to deliver a memorable customer experience.
