The University of Cambridge's Milner Therapeutics Institute, in collaboration with the Medical Research Council and AstraZeneca, has launched the Functional Genomics Screening Laboratory. This pioneering initiative aligns with the MTI's vision of breaking down barriers between academia and industry.
We are seeking a biologist with expertise in characterising complex models such as stem cells, organoids, primary cells, and co-cultures. The ideal candidate will apply their knowledge in designing and implementing arrayed CRISPR screens, proficient in developing functional assays like imaging and flow cytometry to identify key phenotypes suitable for high-throughput screening.
- Design and implement CRISPR screen methodologies
- Characterise intricate models and cell cultures
- Develop functional assays for high-throughput screening
- Operate automated or semi-automated liquid handlers
This role presents an exceptional opportunity to collaborate closely with scientists and bioinformaticians from diverse backgrounds, including academia and industry.
