Job Title: Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at TeacherActive. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working with students aged 3-11, teachers, and therapists to develop personalized support plans and implement strategies to de-escalate challenging situations.

About the Role:
  • Assist teachers in developing and delivering engaging lessons tailored to individual students' abilities, learning styles, and needs.
  • Provide 1:1 and group learning support to students with additional needs.
  • Work with students with SEMH needs to create a safe and supportive environment.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with teachers, students, and parents.
Requirements:
  • Level 3 qualification or minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting.
  • Calm, patient, and caring personality.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines.
  • Experience working with students with additional needs.
