We are seeking an experienced and skilled Vehicle Paint Sprayer to join our team at Clear Automotive Recruitment Solutions Limited.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for painting damaged vehicles to a high standard, using the PPG paint system and other relevant equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the accident repair and bodyshop industry, with experience in painting and technical knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Painting damaged vehicles to a high standard, using the PPG paint system and other relevant equipment.
  • Mixing and matching paint by eye or using computer technology to ensure correct color match.
  • Preparing vehicles to be painted by hand or machine.
  • Applying primer and finishing coats using spray guns and rubbing down surfaces between coats.
  • Touching up paintwork and applying polish to vehicles.
  • Knowledge of blending paintwork is essential.
  • Removing masking papers before waxing and polishing finished paintwork.
  • Treating vehicles with rust-proofing chemicals.
  • Paint spraying the entire vehicle.
  • Working in a spray booth to ensure paint is confined to the specific areas.
Requirements:
  • Car painting and technical knowledge, experience of the accident repair and bodyshop industry.
  • Continually work to high standards with customer satisfaction in mind.
  • Skills in applying and using knowledge to ensure work is finished to a high standard.
  • Must have own spray guns.
  • ATA or Level 3 equivalent is an advantage.
