Job Title: Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Lung Cancer
Project Overview:
Oxford Brookes University is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to work on a project exploring the views and experiences of never smokers diagnosed with lung cancer. The project aims to identify informational, care, and support needs and develop recommendations for best practice. The successful candidate will contribute to the implementation and day-to-day running of the project, coordinating the qualitative interview and focus group phase, recruiting participants, and collecting, analysing, and evaluating data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct qualitative interviews and focus groups with never smokers, healthcare professionals, and stakeholders
- Develop and implement a recruitment strategy
- Analyse and evaluate data
- Work as part of a project team to deliver the study
Essential Requirements:
- Good degree and PhD (or close to completion)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Previous experience in health or social care research
