Engineering Support Technician

Our client is a fast-paced manufacturer of industrial goods based in the UK.
Job OverviewWe are seeking an Engineering Support Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving our plant and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Create and review risk assessments and standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and industry best practices.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical breakdowns to restore equipment and minimize production downtime.
- Perform preventative maintenance on plant and services to prevent downtime and losses.
- Carry out electrical works up to 415V, including live working.
- Ensure accurate reporting of maintenance activities and processing of engineering spare parts.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities, including maximizing plant performance and reducing energy consumption.
- Supervise trainees and contractors.
- Administer maintenance systems and drawings.
- HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Ability to work flexibly within engineering teams to achieve set standards and targets.
- Effective communication with department members and other areas, particularly production.
- Flexibility to respond to changes in priority or emergency situations.
- A competitive salary of £48,254 per annum.
