About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Statistician to join our team at Wimbledon. As a Data Statistician, you will be responsible for collecting and analyzing live data from tennis matches. This is a unique opportunity to work at one of the world's most prestigious sporting events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and enter live data from tennis matches into laptops using purpose-built tennis software.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to ensure accurate and timely data collection.
  • Report any issues or technical concerns to the IBM Operations Room and Data Entry Supervisor via communications headsets.
Requirements
  • A sound knowledge of the game of tennis is essential.
  • Previous playing experience, ideally with a minimum of 3.1 LTA rating or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and sound judgment in complex decision-making.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of concentration and attention to detail over an extended period.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
