Job Title: Residential Support Worker

Barnardo's is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team in Coalville, Leicestershire. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to vulnerable children and young people.

About the Role:

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people. As a Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment, building strong relationships with service users, and supporting them to achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support and care to service users, promoting their independence, well-being, and personal growth.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to care.
  • Contribute to the upkeep of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Document information accurately and maintain up-to-date records.
  • Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to, promoting a safe environment for all.
Requirements:
  • Hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or be willing to achieve this within the required timeframe.
  • Be motivated by the opportunity to make a positive difference in young people's lives, creating a safe space and building resilience.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of safeguarding and protection of vulnerable children and young people.
  • Be flexible to commit to sleep-ins and shift work, including weekends and bank holidays.
