The Role
As a Specialist MSK Physiotherapist, you will have the opportunity to join our Physiotherapy MSK service during a time of innovation and service re-design.
You will take a lead role for a designated clinical area with a caseload incorporating patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and discharge.
Responsibilities include supervision, education, and development of more junior staff, physiotherapy support workers, and students within the speciality.
You will provide a specialised resource to other healthcare staff, patients, and carers.
Active involvement in Clinical Governance and Clinical Effectiveness and Research is also expected.

Requirements
- Registered Physiotherapist with valid HCPC Registration
- Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level
- Postgraduate expertise within speciality/area of practice
- Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality/area of practice
- Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies, and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice
- Leadership skills to enable day-to-day management of service delivery
- Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality
- Excellent team-working/leadership skills and ability to motivate others
- Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Effective time management skills
- Working knowledge of basic information technology
Desirable Qualifications
- Member of CSP
- Membership of relevant special interest group
- Multi-disciplinary working
- Research and audit
- Experience or interest in specialist area as detailed in role profile for this post
