Firefighter Role

About the Role

We are looking for skilled and dedicated individuals to join our team of on-call firefighters in Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service. As an on-call firefighter, you will be responsible for providing fire cover at 22 stations and responding to emergencies in a timely and effective manner.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Attend emergency calls and respond to fires, floods, and other incidents
• Conduct risk assessments and provide advice on fire safety
• Participate in training and development programs to maintain your skills and knowledge
• Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve service objectives

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

• Live or work within five minutes of an on-call fire station
• Be over 18 years old
• Be physically fit and able to pass a medical assessment
