Premises Manager Opportunity at a Leading Secondary School

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Premises Manager to join our dedicated staff at a reputable secondary school in Sutton.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management and maintenance of the school's buildings and grounds, ensuring the security and safety of the premises, overseeing cleaning and maintenance operations, managing contractors, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the school's premises, including security, cleaning, maintenance, and groundskeeping.
- Manage and supervise a team of premises staff, ensuring their work is carried out effectively and efficiently.
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify and address any maintenance or repair needs.
- Manage contracts with external vendors for services such as cleaning, security, and grounds maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and legislation.
- Manage the school's energy consumption and implement sustainable practices.
- Oversee the allocation and use of school facilities for events and activities.
- Manage budgets and resources related to premises management.
- Proven experience in a similar premises management role, preferably within an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
- Knowledge of building maintenance and repair procedures.
- Experience in managing budgets and resources.
