Job Title: Commercial and Property Litigation Solicitor

We are seeking a skilled Commercial and Property Litigation Solicitor to join our team at Connells Group, a leading estate agency and property services provider in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of 50 files, handling all aspects of conveyancing transactions from instruction to completion, registration, and closure of the file.
  • Take instructions, keep accurate file notes, communicate with clients and third parties, and complete tasks.
  • Draft legal documents, including Standard Precedent Letters, Contract Packs, Title Reports, Exchange and Completion letters, general correspondence, and Land Registry and HMRC forms.
  • Carry out Pre-completion, Land Registry, and Conveyancing searches accurately and timely.
  • Ensure the file is ready for exchange and completion, making sure all the correct and necessary paperwork and funds are in place.
  • Perform Post Completion work, including preparing and sending applications to the Land Registry, Stamp Duty Land Tax submissions, file closures, and checking account ledgers.
Requirements:
  • Qualified candidates with a Law Degree, LPC, qualified Licensed Conveyancer, Solicitor, or Legal Executive (FCILEX) are preferred but not essential.
  • Experience in managing a conveyancing caseload.
  • Excellent communication skills, with good time management, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of Case Management Systems and Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook, is preferred but not essential.
