About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Department Head to lead our Commercial Property team at Simpson Judge. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the success of our department and contributing to the growth and development of our business.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage a complex caseload of commercial property matters while overseeing and supervising the wider team.
  • Monitor and manage team performance, providing assistance to Fee Earners as needed.
  • Contribute to the firm's business plans to grow the department and team further, setting targets and direction for colleagues.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with staff members and team meetings to ensure open communication and collaboration.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and drive the business forward, staying up-to-date with industry trends and developments.
  • Train and develop new staff members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
Requirements
  • Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience in Commercial Property.
  • Proven ability to manage a team and monitor performance to drive team success.
  • Extensive knowledge of Commercial Property law, as well as Complex High-Value Residential Property and other areas of law to support the wider team.
  • IT literacy and experience managing and supervising a team.
