Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Minibus Operator to join our team at Dumfries and Galloway Council. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for safely transporting pupils to and from schools, colleges, and other venues in our school minibus.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the council's minibus in a safe and efficient manner
  • Transport pupils to and from schools, colleges, and other venues as required
  • Maintain accurate records of journeys and passenger details

Requirements:

  1. D1 Entitlement on driving licence
  2. A minimum of 12 months experience of driving D1 vehicles

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a patient and understanding approach, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. You will also possess a current PCV driving licence entitlement and a Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (Driver CPC) qualification.

Compensation: £12.96 per hour
