Nursery Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursery Manager to join our team at Clarus Education Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our nursery, providing a safe and nurturing environment for our children, and leading a team of dedicated staff.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the nursery is maintained to a high standard, with thorough knowledge of all systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies with line managers and staff to ensure seamless operations.
  • Oversee the daily running of the nursery, adhering to policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Provide equal opportunities for all children, regardless of their background, and promote a culture of respect and inclusivity.
  • Manage the nursery budget, recording outgoings and sending required paperwork to the Schools team.
  • Liaise with parents, ensuring effective communication and confidentiality.
  • Supervise the planning and preparation of activities to develop children's individual development in a stimulating atmosphere.
  • Maintain staff ratios and ensure staff are deployed effectively to carry out tasks.
  • Keep and monitor accident, incident, and risk assessment records.
  • Prepare, care, cleanliness, and maintenance of the nursery rooms, kitchen, and equipment.
  • Attend Managers meetings and lead Nursery staff meetings.
