Software Engineer Role

Key Responsibilities

Consult with users to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications
Manage interaction between systems and other technical support areas
Define technical requirements and coordinate team resources to solve problems
Guide the team to tackle problems at differentiating levels of complexity
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members on complex engineering solutions
Design, develop, analyze, configure, test, debug, troubleshoot, document, health monitor/alert, and implement software based on user or system specifications

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in work experience
Strong programming/development experience focused on Java 11 or greater, with strong working knowledge of Spring, Spring Boot, Webservices (SOAP, REST), HTML/CSS/Javascript, Git/GitHub
Proficient in API design and implementation, with experience in architecting and developing robust RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless communication between microservices and external systems, ensuring scalability, security, and ease of integration
Experience designing and implementing data-driven applications using relational and NoSQL databases
Demonstrated expertise in cloud technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless computing platforms such as AWS Lambda
Hands-on experience deploying and managing cloud-native/containerized applications in scalable environments
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to ensure systems are built with longevity and create innovative ways to resolve issues
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate well with team members and business partners
Ability to lead team members and help create a safe environment for others to learn and grow as engineers
