A reputable firm of Chartered Accountants based in the South-East is seeking a Senior Tax Specialist to join their team.



Salary and Benefits


The successful candidate can expect a salary of £60,000-£80,000 per annum, plus benefits that include flexible working hours, with the potential for a 4-day week, and the opportunity to work with a supportive and collaborative team.



Job Description


This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced tax professional to work with a varied and interesting portfolio of clients, including high net worth individuals, owner-managed businesses and private companies, property management companies, trusts, and one-off assignments.



Key Responsibilities



  • Preparation of tax returns using Digita software;
  • Liaising directly with clients to handle queries and provide excellent service;
  • Identifying and considering tax planning opportunities;
  • Managing workflow to ensure deadlines are met and returns filed on time;
  • Ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations;


Additional Responsibilities (optional depending on experience)



  • Preparation of corporation tax returns and tax planning;
  • Capital gains tax and inheritance tax planning;
  • Overseeing payroll processes and ensuring compliance;


Requirements


Ideal Candidate:



  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a practice environment;
  • Strong organisational and communication skills;
  • An appropriate tax qualification (ATT, CTA, or equivalent) is preferred;
  • Experience with Digita software is desirable but not essential;
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and work independently;
