Job Title: Commercial and Data Lawyer

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial and Data Lawyer to join our team at Ideal Personnel. The successful candidate will have a strong academic background and at least 5 years of post-qualification experience in commercial contracts.

The Role

The ideal candidate will have a non-contentious commercial contracts caseload, including agency, distribution, data protection, franchising, IT-related agreements, licensing, and exploitation of intellectual property. They will also have experience in competition law and asset finance and consumer credit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of non-contentious commercial contracts
  • Advise on competition law and asset finance and consumer credit
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and contacts
  • Present to clients and contacts on key legal issues
  • Work unsupervised, seeking assistance from other team members as needed
Requirements
  • Excellent academic record and strong ambition for career development
  • Good commercial experience, with a mix of corporate and commercial experience considered
  • Excellent interpersonal and marketing skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and fit into a friendly, busy team
  • Negotiation skills and organisational ability
  • An eye for detail and willingness to present to clients and contacts
  • Ability to work unsupervised and seek assistance from other team members as needed
