At Liverpool City Council, we are seeking an experienced Safeguarding Manager to lead the delivery and operation of safeguarding arrangements within statutory responsibilities to multi-agency partners across Liverpool.

The successful candidate will have extensive strategic knowledge within a safeguarding setting, managing staff in a multi-agency environment, and will be qualified in social work, nursing, teaching, or policing.

Key responsibilities include assisting Chairs of the board in efficiently writing reports, procedures, guidance, and providing public information in a timely manner, as well as confidently advising LSCP members on Safeguarding policy issues and assertively making recommendations for decision-making in respect of the LSCP's budget, duties, priorities, and future direction.

The role also involves collating and analysing data, quality assuring and performance managing with regards to producing reports around rapid reviews and local safeguarding practice reviews, and assisting the process of serious case reviews.

We offer a 35 hour working week with a hybrid working model, at least 27 days holiday, plus bank holidays, rising to 32 after 5 years service, and a range of benefits including agile working, progression opportunities, and a local government pension scheme.
