Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Behavioural Mentor to work in a large English-medium school in the Caerphilly area. In this role, you will support students with behavioural and additional learning needs (ALN) alongside the ALN coordinator and teaching staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1-to-1 support for students with Autism, ADHD, and other behavioural, social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities for students with behavioural needs.
  • Help students engage with learning and improve their behaviour in both group settings and on an individual basis.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS check (child only) & registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) – Teaching Personnel can assist with this.
  • Previous experience working with children with ALN is desired, though not essential (personal or professional experience welcomed).
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (A*-C)
