Job Summary

The Accounts Payable Support role is a critical component of ISS's financial operations, focusing on managing the company's financial transactions, specifically overseeing the Accounts Payable ledger and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pro-actively manage supplier statement reconciliations, queries, and payments to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Coordinate cross-department meetings to resolve invoice queries and ensure timely payments.
  • Ensure the invoice tracker and SAP system are up-to-date and accurate at all times.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external partners to resolve payment-related issues.
  • Ownership of weekly BACs and ad-hoc CHAPs payments to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Build strong relationships with key suppliers as the primary finance contact.
  • Ownership of reconciliations between operations and accounting systems to verify the balance sheet position.
  • Regular and ad-hoc status reporting to stakeholders.
  • Oversee the management of the Waste Finance inbox to ensure prompt and accurate processing.
  • Creation, analysis, and management of purchase orders to ensure compliance with company policies.

    Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

    • Extensive experience in a finance function, preferably within a similar industry.
    • Involvement in system development and implementation.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including intermediate Excel skills.
    • Experience working with a high volume of invoices and reconciliation of large amounts of data.
