About the Role

As a key member of Causeway Charity's board of trustees, you will play a vital role in shaping the overall governance, financial health, and strategic direction of our organisation. We are seeking an experienced Financial Director to join our team, bringing expertise in charity accounting and relevant standards.

We require someone with strong leadership skills to maintain an overview of the charity's financial affairs, ensuring its viability and proper financial records and procedures. The successful candidate will have experience working with senior management, the board, and subcommittees.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an overview of the charity's financial affairs, ensuring its viability and proper financial records and procedures.
  • Work closely with the Chief Executive and Senior Leadership Team to deliver the charity's mission.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the charity's goals and objectives.
  • Provide expert advice on charity accounting and related matters.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Relevant accounting qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA).
  • Proven experience in charity accounting and financial management.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team.

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
