Accounts Senior Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Accounts Senior to join our client's team in West Thurrock. As an Accounts Senior, you will be responsible for managing financial reporting, maintaining accurate accounts, and supporting the Finance Director.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Reconcile the Balance Sheet, manage Fixed assets, HMRC, Payroll control, Creditors, Debtors, and intercompany trading.
  2. Process various Journals.
  3. Manage Month end processing.
  4. Import and reconcile Sales Invoices.
  5. Generate Purchase Order numbers.
  6. Input and import Purchase Invoices.
  7. Post and allocate Daily Cash receipts.
  8. Perform Bank reconciliations.
  9. Generate Sales Ledger Statements and perform housekeeping tasks.
  10. Manage Credit control.
  11. Input Duty Sales and reconcile Vat Intercompany.
  12. Process Bank Transfers, BACS, and Priority payments.
  13. Act as the Key Audit contact.
  14. Perform Add-hoc processes.
  15. Be proficient in Excel.
  16. Oversee staff duties and provide training.
Essential Skills:
  1. Excellent oral and written communication skills with attention to detail.
  2. Previous experience in Sage200 or Sage50.
  3. Strong Planning and Organisational Skills.
  4. The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  5. Ability to use handheld devices and other computerised equipment.
  6. Full UK driving licence.
The Package:
  1. Salary £30,000 - £40,000 per annum depending on experience.
  2. Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm with 1 hour for lunch.
  3. Free on-site parking.
  4. 28 days annual leave.
  5. Death in service x 4 salary.
  6. Company Pension Scheme with 4% company contribution.
  7. Based in West Thurrock with occasional travel to Tilbury.
