Litigation Manager

RBUK Legal is seeking a skilled Litigation Manager to lead our Housing Litigation Department in Manchester. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of litigation fee earners, providing guidance, support, and technical assistance as needed.

- Act as the key point of contact for complex legal queries, particularly relating to the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and Part 8 proceedings.
- Lead the recruitment process for new team members, ensuring that high-caliber professionals are brought on board. Manage the onboarding process to integrate new staff effectively into the team.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of ongoing litigated files, ensuring that all cases are managed efficiently and deadlines are consistently met.
- Build and maintain strong relationships both internally within the firm and externally with clients and stakeholders.
- Identify areas for professional development within your team.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- c. 4 years of experience in managing a team and handling litigated files, particularly within Housing Conditions/Disrepair.
- Experience with the Proclaim Case Management System is advantageous.
- Extensive knowledge of the CPR, including Part 8 proceedings. Familiarity with Housing Conditions/Disrepair is essential.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Exceptional organisational abilities, with a focus on meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of work.
