We offer a competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum.

At Huphuphup, we are seeking an experienced Ecological Consultant to join our team. As a Senior Ecological Consultant, you will work on various ecological projects across England and Wales, requiring both field and office-based skills.

The role involves carrying out field surveys, data analysis, cartography, report writing, and survey planning. You will be involved in projects requiring bat, reptile, great crested newt, badger, and bird surveys. Additionally, you will prepare and complete Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Biodiversity Net Gain assessments, and Mitigation & Enhancement Strategies.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant subject (e.g., Ecology, Biology, Environmental Science).
  • Established professional Ecologist with 2-5 years consultancy experience.
  • Proficient in Preliminary Ecological Assessments and BNG Assessments with good botanical skills.
  • Experienced in bat surveys and assessments.
  • Experience in report production, client liaison, and project management.
  • CIEEM Qualifying / Associate membership.
