About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our Emergency Department team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our nursing and medical staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide holistic care to patients attending the Emergency Department
  • Support the Medical and Nursing team in delivering care
  • Complete accurate and concise documentation for every attendance
  • Maintain infection control within the department
  • Attend training to maintain own training record
  • Provide patients with nutrition and hydration
  • Support in maintaining patient personal care
Person Specification

We are looking for individuals with:

  • Essential qualifications: oBNCS or NVQ / Internal Level 2 training programme, experience in a healthcare setting
  • Desirable qualifications: oLevel 3 QCF diploma (Qualification Credit Framework) in healthcare / NVQ level 3, GCSE Maths & English grade C or above / Grade 4 - 9 OR Functional/Key skills level 2 numeracy and Functional/Key Skills level 2 literacy
