About the Job:
  As a Principal Mechanical Engineer at QODA Consulting in Cambridge, you will be responsible for leading complex design projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality designs on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  Your key responsibilities will include:
    • Defining design methods, specifications, and performance requirements for new projects
    • Carrying out site inspections and supervising technicians to ensure compliance with design standards and regulations
    • Preparing design and economic feasibility studies, surveys, and reports, as well as engineering designs and layouts, specifications, cost estimates, and technical content of enquiries and quotations
    • Collaborating with clients to understand their needs and expectations, and communicating project progress and outcomes

Requirements:
  To be successful in this role, you will need:
    • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
    • Proven experience in mechanical design and project leadership
    • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in CAD software and analysis tools
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
    • Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience
