Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Geography ECT to join our team at Wayman Education. As a Geography ECT, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to secondary students, with a focus on Geography.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lesson Planning and Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that cater to the needs of secondary students, with a focus on Geography.
  • Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Monitor and assess students' progress, keeping regular records of their academic performance.
  • Classroom Management: Create a positive and safe learning environment that promotes academic excellence.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with school management, teaching staff, and parents to provide quality academic support for secondary students.
  • Professional Development: Participate in school-related activities, such as performances, events, and parent/teacher meetings, to enhance your professional development.
  • Safeguarding: Adhere to safeguarding policies and promote the welfare of all children.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: QTS or equivalent, a degree in a relative field, and a recognized qualification in teaching.
  • Skills: Excellent classroom management skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students.
  • Knowledge: Sound knowledge of the national curriculum and its application in class.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt teaching styles to facilitate different learning styles.
  • Passion: A passion for teaching and making a difference in students' lives.
