Automation Systems Specialist

Electrical Engineering Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Inghams Enterprises in Edinburgh Parks. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily improvements, reviewing site-wide development, and analyzing plant processes to design and implement improvements.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Site lead and SME for site electrical control infrastructure
- Support and coach on-site electricians and programmers for development and troubleshooting
- Develop and implement solutions to deliver automation and improve production efficiency
- Manage and plan end-of-life equipment replacement strategy
- Develop and implement solutions to deliver energy and water savings
- Maintenance of PLC and SCADA systems
Requirements:
- Electrical Engineering Degree qualified or equivalent
- Practical experience with PLC systems and SCADA systems
- Communication and leadership skills combined with the ability to provide advanced technical solutions and problem-solve
- Experience in an engineering role with system design, implementation, and commissioning
- Strong cause-effect analytical abilities to solve problems
- Ability to work as part of a professional, skilled, and flexible team
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Coaching and management of team members
- Knowledge of instrumentation and machine safety
