We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Buyer to lead our Buying team in the ever-growing Product department at Adanola.

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive buying strategy that aligns with Adanola's business goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Merchandising and Design to ensure seamless execution of buying plans and ranges.
  • Lead the Buying team to achieve departmental targets and budgets, while fostering a high-performing, happy, and successful team culture.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating competitive pricing and ensuring a collaborative partnership.
  • Source and expand the supply base for categories, identifying alternative suppliers when needed.
  • Manage overall spend across categories to ensure budgetary compliance.
  • Stay up-to-date with external market trends, influencing Adanola's buying strategy and informing key decisions.
  • Review and approve ranges proposed by the team, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Liaise with Merchandising and Marketing to analyze sales trends and determine opportunities for improvement.
  • Communicate key information to the team, ensuring effective trade meetings and follow-up actions.
  • Complete buying trips to source new products and suppliers.

About You:

  • Proven experience in leading successful Buying teams in the fashion industry.
  • Commercial acumen, combined with creativity and a deep understanding of Adanola's brand values.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills, with a focus on developing the quality of line management within the Buying team.
