Job Description

Overview: As an Animal Care Specialist at GLG Vets, you will be responsible for providing top-notch veterinary care to a diverse range of animals. Your primary focus will be on performing routine examinations, diagnostics, and treatments, as well as conducting surgical procedures such as spaying, neutering, and minor surgeries.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough examinations, taking into account the animal's medical history, behavior, and physical condition.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans, working closely with veterinary nurses and support staff.
  • Collaborate with pet owners to provide guidance on general care, feeding, and wellness.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient histories, treatments, and progress.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in veterinary medicine, ensuring that your skills and knowledge remain current.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Veterinary degree from a recognized institution.
  • Valid veterinary license to practice in the UK.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • A compassionate and caring approach to animals, with a strong commitment to their welfare.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
