Commercial Loss Adjuster

About the Role
Crawford & Company is seeking a skilled Commercial Loss Adjuster to join our General Property team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing property claims, from minor damage to catastrophic events, and providing exceptional service to our valued clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Support clients in proactively handling and settling a mixed caseload of property claims, up to the value of £100k.
- Investigate each claim with tact and a calm manner, establishing the facts, policy details, and working towards a resolution.
- Liaise with colleagues within different business areas, such as Casualty, Major & Complex Loss, Contractor Connections, and Legal, to ensure each step of the claims process is thorough and efficient.
- Remove hurdles in the process, take responsibility to resolve issues, and collate all necessary details to ensure swift settlement whenever possible.
Requirements
- ACII or CILA qualified, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of FCA procedures and TCF initiatives.
- Extensive knowledge of the insurance market.
- Extensive technical knowledge within the adjusting arena.
- Understanding of client SLA compliance/productivity/quality requirements.
- Proven proficient working knowledge of scoping software and handheld device use.
- Good negotiation skills, with the ability to arrange appointments, alternative accommodation, and explain information when required.
- Ability to understand what matters to the customer and put this first.
- Good IT skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Flexibility in traveling and a full UK driving license.
