Visual UI Designer at Canonical

Canonical is seeking a talented Visual UI Designer to join our design team. As a Visual UI Designer, you will play a vital role in shaping the user experience of our products, ensuring they are intuitive, accessible, and visually appealing.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Visual UI Designer who is passionate about creating exceptional user experiences. You will work closely with our design team to develop and implement design solutions that meet the needs of our users.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop visual interfaces for our products, ensuring they are consistent with our brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user needs and develop design solutions that meet those needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends and technologies, and apply that knowledge to improve our products.
  • Work with our engineering team to ensure design solutions are feasible and meet technical requirements.
  • Conduct user research to inform design decisions and ensure our products meet user needs.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in visual design, with a focus on user experience.
  • Strong portfolio that demonstrates your ability to create visually appealing and user-friendly designs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, including typography, color theory, and layout.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe Creative Cloud.
