Conveyancing Assistant Job Description

Talent-UK Ltd is recruiting on behalf of our client, an outstanding law firm with branches across Yorkshire. Due to a headcount increase, our client is seeking a full-time permanent Conveyancing Assistant to work across two locations in West Yorkshire.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answer phone calls and provide updates to clients, referrers, and other relevant parties.
  • Update portals as necessary.
  • Provide estimates of costs to clients and referrers.
  • Open files, conduct ID checks, and send initial funds on account letters.
  • Assist clients with using the Legal Bricks portal.
  • Deal with dictation or tasks given by fee earners.
  • Send standard or bespoke letters as required.
  • Obtain copy titles, draft, and issue contract packs.
  • Apply for searches and conduct map searches.
  • Check lender portals for mortgage offers.
  • Set up files for completion and perform final checks.
  • Update lender portals with final search results and request mortgage monies.

Requirements: Ability to drive and have access to a vehicle.

Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday.
