Job Title: Senior Management Accountant

A new Senior Management Accountant position has become available within a well-established, privately owned business in the UK. This role is well-suited to a qualified accountant (or close to completing CIMA/ACCA/ACA) aspiring to progress into a Financial Controller role, with defined succession plans in place for development to FC.

Your New Role as Senior Management Accountant

Receiving support from the FC and FD, duties for the new Senior Management Accountant will include:

  • Supervising and mentoring the accounts team
  • Preparation of the month-end pack, including P&L, balance sheet, commentary, and analysis
  • Budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Supporting with year-end/audit
  • Key player in streamlining existing processes within finance
  • Working cross-functionally, liaising with non-finance stakeholders to provide financial insight and advice
Experience and Qualifications Required

To be considered, you will be fully qualified in CIMA, ACCA, or ACA, or be actively studying and committed to completing studies (within the next 12 months ideally). Strong communication skills are required, with the ability to challenge and influence where required. Additionally, good systems skills are required, including Excel, handling large and complex data sets.
