Job Summary:

The Senior Estimator will be responsible for developing comprehensive and accurate estimates for mechanical or electrical projects, utilizing in-house estimating software and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Estimate Creation: Develop detailed estimates for mechanical or electrical projects, considering multiple factors and variables.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior estimators, providing guidance and support where needed.
  • Supply Chain Management: Effectively manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Commercial Analysis: Analyze and review quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Procurement Support: Collaborate with procurement teams to identify and engage potential suppliers.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with projects.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience as a senior estimator or in a similar role.
  • Deep understanding of mechanical or electrical systems in large-scale projects.
  • Expertise in estimating software and proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
