Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site/Plant Operator to join our team at our site in the Scunthorpe area. As a Site/Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our renewable energy process plant, ensuring the safe and efficient production of energy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out day-to-day operations of the renewable energy process plant, including monitoring and controlling the process using SCADA control systems.
  • Performing general maintenance tasks, such as changing and isolating pumps, greasing, oil, and filter changes.
  • Supporting the biologist with carrying out analysis checks.
  • Feeding fuel into the process using mobile plant, such as telehandlers.
  • Responding to machine and systems failures.
  • Ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols at all times.
  • Participating in an on-call rota (once trained).

Requirements

  • A relevant Engineering qualification or certificate would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Telehandler or other plant tickets, such as loading shovel or tractor, would be beneficial but not essential.

Personal Qualities

  • Experience working in a similar outdoor environment.
  • Basic first-line maintenance experience.
  • A genuine interest in working in the renewable energy sector.
  • A good work ethic and a desire to work as part of a supportive team.
