About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Rochdale and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support teachers in the classroom to ensure students with SEND receive the necessary support and accommodations.
  • Work one-on-one with students to develop their skills and confidence.
  • Lead small groups of students to promote social and emotional learning.
  • Manage classroom resources and materials to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to manage heightened behaviors and ensure student safety.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
Requirements
  • Experience working with students with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
  • Flexibility to work in a variety of settings, including mainstream and SEND schools.
