Job Title: Maintenance Technician - Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician - Electrical Engineer to join our team at Shorterm Group. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on large state-of-the-art, electrical-based vehicles and take overall responsibility of vehicle examinations in line with vehicle maintenance instructions (VMI's).

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance, repair, and fault finding on electrical based vehicles. You will undertake all types of maintenance examination work to ensure that we provide a safe, reliable, and defect-free unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake technical maintenance to the required standards, and in accordance with all maintenance instructions.
  • Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all maintenance documentation prior to Shift Production Manager (SPM) validation and authorisation.
  • Operation of powered plant, lifting and mechanical handling equipment.
  • Ensuring all problems with processes, tooling, and documentation are identified within the team is reported to the Shift Production Manager / Facility Management Team.
  • Highlighting potential Health and Safety concerns.
  • Compliance with all laid-down H&S legislation and depot procedures to ensure a safe accident-free environment.
  • Responsible for always keeping the work area clean and tidy and to the highest standards.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A history of completing safety-critical work.
  • The ability to undertake detailed fault finding and analysis by reading and following electrical and pneumatic schematic drawings.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Electrical & Mechanical Principles.
  • Computer literacy and experience of using a maintenance management system for work recording.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is approximately £26.78 PAYE per hour or £34.30 Umbrella per hour, depending on your employment status. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits including opportunities for career development and training.

Location

This role is based in Bicester and requires flexibility with working hours, including days and nights. We offer a 12-month+ contract with the possibility of extension.
