About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Couture Pattern Cutter to join our team at Create Recruitment Specialists Ltd. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in a high-end fashion environment, with a strong understanding of complex designs, draping techniques, and delicate fabric handling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create manual first patterns and make amendments to existing patterns
  • Utilize various techniques, including draping on the stand, fabric manipulation, and flat pattern making
  • Pad out mannequins to clients' shape and size
  • Develop patterns from clients' measurements, following design illustrations or photographs
  • Collaborate with designers and seamstresses to ensure garments meet the designer's vision
  • Work from spec sheet comments and follow through each action point to finalized patterns for grading and bulk production
  • Participate in fittings when necessary to help fit garments
About You
  • Ability to create original shapes and push the boundaries of traditional garment construction
  • Strong garment construction skills, including knowledge of corsetry
  • Solid attention to detail
  • Ability to support with fittings and work well with the team to make alterations
  • Creative thinking to textile experiments and garment constructions
  • Clear and concise communication skills
  • A team player with great interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized personality
  • Accustomed to working to tight deadlines and multitasking across changing priorities
  • Flexibility required at peak times to manage workload
  • Previous experience working with bridal garments is desirable but not essential

The successful candidate will have prior experience in couture pattern cutting, be immediately available, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a temp, you will receive a competitive salary rate paid on a weekly basis.
