About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Chef to join our team. As a Regional Chef, you will oversee a range of independent schools in Oxford and the surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract catering or education and be able to lead a team of chefs to deliver high-quality meals to students.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a regional role and be able to manage a team of chefs to achieve business objectives. They will also be responsible for ensuring the quality and presentation of all dishes meet the company's standards and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cover long-term sickness, general absences, holidays and recruitment gaps.
  • Manage a team of chefs to achieve business objectives.
  • Develop menus that take into account dietary restrictions, nutritional guidelines, and seasonal ingredients.
  • Adapt quickly to different kitchen environments and team dynamics.
  • Foster a positive working environment by demonstrating leadership qualities, effective communication, and teamwork.

Requirements
  • Previous experience working in a regional role within a contract catering company or educational institution.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certifications from a recognized culinary institute.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Fun and enthusiastic
