Key Responsibilities:- Production Planning: Coordinate production workflow for multiple products across various machinery, ensuring maximum performance and minimizing delays.
- Operations Management: Plan and prioritize operations to meet customer demand, determine manpower, equipment, and raw materials needed to cover production demand.
- Scheduling: Schedule shifts according to production needs and customer commitment dates, monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget.
- Problem-Solving: Address issues as they arise, aiming for minimum disruption and planning accordingly.
- Reporting: Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives, etc.) and prepare and submit status and performance reports.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with all departments to ensure any changes to plans are communicated and managed effectively.
- Experience: Experience in a fast-paced production planning role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles, experience in MRP II (Manufacturing Resource Planning), and working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, strong organizational and problem-solving skills, flexibility, excellent communication skills, and experience with planning nested trays and punnet forming machinery (an advantage).
