About the Opportunity

This is an exciting entry-level opportunity to join the BBC as a Media Production Specialist in our Bristol office.

The role is a 19-month fixed-term contract, starting in September 2025, with a competitive salary of £21,840 per annum.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support picture and audio editors in post-production areas across content production.
  2. Develop skills in video technology, audio technology, metadata and timecode, codecs and files, edit assistant operations, networks and storage, data conforming and finishing, quality control, archiving and legacy technology.

You will work closely with experienced professionals to develop your skills and knowledge in these areas.

About You

To be successful in this role, you should have a passion for media content and technical production. You should be able to work calmly under pressure and be fascinated by how things work. You should also have excellent organisational skills, be great at problem-solving and be an enthusiastic self-starter who is flexible and adaptable to out-of-hours working.
