Finance Business Partner - F&B Operations Specialist

Haven is seeking a Finance Business Partner to specialise in Food & Beverage operations. This role involves providing comprehensive financial analysis and strategic guidance to F&B operations, including franchises, own-brand restaurants, and other venues.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with F&B operations, Operations Directors, and wider management, contributing to decision-making processes with expertise in risk intelligence and financial proficiency.

This is an excellent opportunity for finance professionals aiming to expand their skill set and engage more deeply with business operations, contributing to decision-making and problem-solving.

The role is hybrid, with an expectation of 3-4 days per week at our Head Office in Hemel Hempstead and occasional park visits.

Your Opportunity:

  • Establish reviews, analysis, and understanding of the end-to-end financials of F&B operations, alongside all relevant KPIs and other metrics.
  • Act on insights gained to provide guidance and input into decision-making, framing financial metrics in a way that all levels of the business and differing stakeholders understand.
  • Appropriately challenge the business to ensure a risk-intelligent culture and identify issues as they arise.
  • Understand the fundamentals of financial statements, including operations, finance processes, systems, and data, to be able to interrogate data and solve problems.
  • Work with the BI and Procurement teams to interrogate non-financial datasets to improve analysis of margins and other F&B-related activity.
  • Attend meetings, host weekly and monthly business reviews, and present periodically on your respective business area, providing insight into risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop annual budgets and align financial planning with the overall business strategy.
  • Continuously monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, at venue level and overall P&L.
  • Collaborate with other finance teams and the BI team to develop a suite of regular reports that are adopted as universal by the business.
  • Provide financial expertise in strategic and other initiatives, such as identifying tax or working capital implications.
  • Identify potential finance risks or opportunities and work with key stakeholders to mitigate or maximise opportunities.
