Join Our Team as a Graduate Teaching Assistant

We are seeking recent graduates to work as Graduate Teaching Assistants, supporting SEND Schools across Liverpool.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in the education sector, specifically within SEND environments. Our partner schools provide essential support to children with a range of special educational needs and disabilities, aged 5-16 years.

We welcome graduates from any discipline who can demonstrate a commitment to working with children and a passion for inclusive education. Comprehensive training will be provided to help you succeed in this role.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting class teachers in delivering lessons and providing individual assistance to pupils with SEND.
  • Offering tailored, one-on-one or small group support to children with varying needs.
  • Monitoring and assessing student progress in line with their individual learning plans.
  • Assisting with the implementation and updates of Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs).

Requirements:

  • A degree in any subject area.
  • A passion for working with children, especially those with SEND.
  • An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or a willingness to apply for one.
