Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at Gap Personnel. As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all quality-related tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the Quality Assurance team, including scheduling and ensuring that shifts are adequately covered.
  • Support the technical teams in ensuring compliance with the site's Food Safety and Quality Management System (FSQMS), audit standards, and legal requirements.
  • Support factory compliance with FSQMS, including managing and organizing Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and fabrication audits.
  • Support factory compliance with traceability requirements, including leading traceability exercises and organizing tests of the system.
  • Manage and maintain documents required to support FSQMS.
  • Manage the control of non-conforming products in the factory.
  • Manage product labeling within the factory, including the use and management of labeling software.
  • Support the production of pack copies and finished product specifications.
  • Manage the calibration of equipment and ensure that these are completed in a timely manner.
  • Be an active member of the site's Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) team.
  • Communicate effectively with production managers, supervisors, team leaders, and operatives.
  • Compile Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data for the technical department on a weekly basis for trend review.
  • Compile complaint information and support trend analysis.
  • Arrange microbiological sampling, and analyze trends from results.
  • Investigate trending issues, one-off concerns, or opportunities for improvement through root cause analysis.
  • Deputize for the Technical Manager as required.
Requirements
  • Good level of communication ability and attention to detail.
  • Experience of working in a technical team within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of supporting FSQMS within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Desirable:
    • Working knowledge of BRCGS food standard/similar GFSI standard.
    • Degree or equivalent in Food Science or similar.
    • HACCP L3/FSL3 preferred.
    • Experience in high-risk food manufacturing.
    • Experience in a supervisor/managerial position.
