A challenging opportunity has arisen for a skilled Renewable Energy Modelling Expert to join our team at Field, a leading company in the renewable energy and zero-carbon flexibility space.

This exciting role will see you develop and maintain our in-house power systems model, impacting the business's bottom line by generating price and revenue forecasts. These forecasts will be used to execute hedges, trades, and tolls, as well as inform strategic decision-making and market analysis across short- and long-term time horizons.

The successful candidate will have a background in energy system modelling and experience with forecasting methodologies. Strong modelling skills, programming expertise (preferably in Python), and familiarity with software development best practices are essential. Additionally, excellent communication skills are required to convey complex technical topics to non-technical audiences.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing novel methodologies for forecasting market-level prices and BESS revenue curves, owning and maintaining the existing in-house model, and providing fundamentals market expertise. You will also feed quantitative, data-backed recommendations to support decision-making within Field.
